Cambridge City legend Neil Midgley has become a director at the club.
The former Ipswich Town and Barnet forward played 339 games for the club, scoring 67 goals.
He takes up the role having been named head of youth last summer.
The 42-year-old told the club’s website: “I joined Cambridge City as a player the year Milton Road was sold.
With the new stadium on the horizon, it gives me immense pleasure to be invited on to the board of directors.
“I look forward to continuing my duties with the youth and first teams, as well working alongside the board to help transition the club into a new stadium within the community of Sawston.”
