Winger Courtney Cameron, who has been unable to impress under Dino Maamria, has left Southport and is joining National League North side Brackley Town.

Cameron was signed for Port by former boss Paul Carden just before their first away fixture at Macclesfield Town in August.

Twenty-three-year old exciting winger Cameron started his career with his home-town club Northampton Town before transferring to Aston Villa for £35,000.

He has League One and Two experience having been on loan at Rotherham United before joining Torquay United in the summer of 2013.

He totalled fifty-one appearances for the Gulls, scoring three times.
