Hitchin Town are less than a week away from our match at Top Field against Cirencester Town.

The match takes place on Saturday 21 January (ko 3pm) and is designated “Pay What You Want”.

This match was designated “Pay What You Want” several weeks ago, and was intended to encourage new fans to come along and see how well the team are doing as well as to recognise this is an expensive time of year for our regular fans.

Subsequently, to take something positive from the Alfie Barker episode, the clubb have agreed to have a separate collection for Sands (Stillborn and neonatal death charity).

The arrangement is that fans will enter through the turnstiles where they can pay as much or as little as they want to watch the match. Gate receipts will be to cover the costs of the match.

Once inside the ground, Sands volunteers will be found with collection buckets and the club are asking supporters to give as generously as possible to this good cause. Everything donated to the Sands’ volunteers will be to support the work of Sands.
