Tranmere Rovers Interim manager Paul Carden was pleased with his team’s display in the 0-0 draw against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Rovers had to play for the final 35 minutes with 10 men after Michael Ihiekwe was sent off for two bookable offences but Craden was delighted with his players’ efforts.

He told Tranmere Player HD: “We took the game to Dagenham from the start and it was an entertaining 0-0 draw. There were chance at both ends, goalkeepers making saves and goalmouth incidents.

“It was a sloppy red card from Michael (Ihiekwe) and he knows that and has held his hands up.

“We have to be better in those situations because I felt that we went to ground too easily at times.

“We weathered the storm at the end but we still had chances to win it and looked dangerous.

“All the lads put a proper shift in today and we definitely deserved something out of the game.”
