Former Premier League footballer Clarke Carlisle is to host an evening geared toward raising awareness for mental health issues.

Ex-Burnley and QPR defender Carlisle will be at Solihull Moors to discuss his personal demons and how he is coping after his public problems that had a big impact on his life.

The event is being held in memory of ex-Moors player Nick Mowl and is run in association with the Clarke Carlisle Foundation.

The ex-Moors player and coach took his own life last year and the club are passionate about the subject.

Carlisle set up his own foundation is 2015 and had vowed to spread his message and show support to fellow sufferers ever since.

He will travel to Damson Park on Thursday September 21. The event starts at 7.30pm.
