Basford United manager Martin Carruthers has set down a challenge to his team as they start a Christmas programme of four games in ten days with a trip to Stockbridge Park Steels on Saturday (3.0).

They are at home to Carlton Town on Boxing Day and Corby Town the following Saturday, with a trip to Loughborough Dynamo on New Years Day. Basford are still unbeaten in the league and sit eighteen points ahead in the Evo Stik Division One South and Carruthers said:

“The challenge to our players is to remain unbeaten for the rest of the year and then we will set new targets for 2018. The next three games could not have been any tougher by playing three of the form sides in the league and our local rivals Carlton who never make things easy for us.”
