Lee Carter has announced that he will step down from his managing director role at AFC Telford United.
Carter, who was one of the original members of the group who formed AFC Telford United in 2004, will cease employment with the club later in the summer.
He will stay as a Director on the club Board.
In the meantime, he will continue to play a key role in helping re-build the club for next season and beyond.
Carter said: “It is a major decision for me because it is almost as if my working life has been nothing else. To be honest I’ve contemplated this decision for the last twelve months and changed my mind a couple of times.
There was never a good time to announce it, but I’ve done it now as it is imperative we let the summer be dominated by good news and positive things about the future of the club. It’s out there now and we can quickly move on and get on with the business in hand. The club is and always will be the most important thing.’’
Club chairman Ian Dosser said: “We thank Lee for his huge commitment, passion and hard work he has devoted to the club over twelve years and we are delighted that he has agreed to stay on the club Board and help us going forward.’’
