Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club Hednesford Town have announced that manager Paul Casey has stepped down from his position at the club.

Following Saturday’s home draw with Barwell, the Pitmen sit in mid-table in the Evo-Stik NPL’s top flight.

They have lost five of their last seven games in all competitions, including defeats in the Integro League Cup and the Birmingham FA Senior Cup.

The club announced the move on Tuesday afternoon with a statement on their website.

It read “Following a meeting with Hednesford Town Football Club officials on Tuesday morning can confirm that Paul Casey has resigned from his position as First Team Manager.

More details will be released in due course”
