AFC Portchester have announced that Mick Catlin will once again be leading the Royals next season.

Catlin took over as first-team manager in November 2018 following the departure of Ian Saunders. It was a role he had been sharing with Saunders since January of that year.

Chairman Paul Kelly believes Catlin can go on and realise the club’s ambitions of securing promotion to the Southern League.

Kelly said: “I’m delighted that Mick will continue to be our manager for the season ahead and it is news that will be welcomed by everyone at the club.

“I was aware of a number of clubs who would have been interested in securing his services for themselves this summer but I am really pleased that Mick is staying with us to finish off the job started last season, which is to secure promotion for the club.”
