EBAC Northern League club Chester-le-Street Town have handed over £1,250 to help local charities.

One donation – for £1,000 – was handed over to the Toby Henderson Trust which Chester chq Trustsupports autistic children, their families and carers.




The money was raised as part of Last Legs sponsored walks by former chairman Mike Amos.

The club also presented a cheque for £250 to the If U Care Share Foundation which supports families affected by suicide. The money was the club’s share of the annual Northern League dinner raffle.

Club press officer Peter Tooth said “These two charities are very worthwhile causes and we are delighted to be able to help them.

“We play an active part in the community: we run more than 20 boys and girls teams as well as disabled football sessions and a weekly walking football for older people at our all-weather pitch.”
