Chester FC winger Jordan Chapell has agreed a deal to remain with the National League club for 2016-17.
The 24-year-old is the fifth member of last season’s squad to sign on again following on from Ryan Astles, Luke George, Kane Richards and James Alabi.
Sheffield-born Chapell, who moved to the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium last summer after leaving divisional rivals Torquay United , featured regularly during 2015-16.
Although he lost his place in the side over Christmas and again towards the back end of the season, he made 41 appearances in total, including 33 starts, and scored five goals.
Chapell’s future had been unclear following the departure of his friend Ross Hannah to Barrow given the pair travelled to training from South Yorkshire together but he has accepted an offer to remain with the Blues.
