Chelmsford City have agreed terms with defender Rob Swaine.
The 30-year-old defender returns to City for his second spell with the Clarets, seven years after signing under Glenn Pennyfather.
Having spent the past season at Billericay Town, Swaine regularly featured in a successful season for the Blues, culminating in promotion to the Vanarama National League South.
Along with the Bostik Premier League title, Swaine’s side won the Velocity League Cup and the BBC Essex Senior Cup – with the no-nonsense defender captaining the Blues in their 2-1 victory against Chelmsford City.
The addition of Swaine adds further experience to the City defensive line, joining the likes of Michael Spillane, Elliot Omozusi, Joe Anderson, Jazzi Barnum-Bobb and Mark Haines in defence.
