Chertsey Town have named captain Kevin Maclaren as the club’s new manager.

It comes after Dave Anderson announced he would be retiring once more after the Curfews won the Buildbase FA Vase earlier this month.

The man entrusted with taking over from former AFC Wimbledon boss Anderson is skipper Maclaren.

Last season he was part of the side that secured a double, as Chertsey won the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division along with their aforementioned Wembley success in the Vase.
