Dave Anderson has said he will be retiring once more from management after leading Chertsey Town to success in yesterday’s Buildbase FA Vase final.

The one-time AFC Wimbledon boss came out of retirement to manage The Curfews last March, and the Northern Irishman has since led them to title success in the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division.

The crowning glory came at Wembley on yesterday’s Non-League Finals Day, with Chertsey beating Cray Valley PM 3-1 after extra-time.

The club tweeted yesterday evening: The Gaffer Dave Anderson has announced his retirement (again) after today’s game, what the man has done for this club will live long in the memory of everybody connected with our fantastic club
