Chester FC have confirmed the appointment of Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley as their new joint-managers.
Having last week left the Ammies, despite delivering three promotions in four seasons at the club, the pair have signed two-year deals with the Blues. It means that they return to manage in the National League North after so recently leading Salford to promotion out of it, but Morley is looking forward to the task of guiding Chester back towards the National League after their relegation this season.
He told the club’s website: “We’re both extremely delighted to have joined Chester FC and cannot wait to get started in the role. We are an ambitious management team and whilst we know there are challenges ahead, we would not have taken the job if we didn’t believe that we could get the Blues into a position of challenging for promotion.”
