Chester FC defender Simon Grand has signed a new one-year deal at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
The 35-year-old centre-back joined the Blues from AFC Fylde in July 2018 and was a regular in Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s starting eleven.
Grand ended the season with 41 appearances in all competitions and chipped in with four goals.
He struck up an effective partnership with Danny Livesey in the centre of defence and also played plenty of games filling in with great impact at left-back across the season.
Grand headed home Chester’s winner at Darlington – the brilliant set-piece goal at Blackwell Meadows. He also struck against Curzon, AFC Telford and Altrincham during 2018/19.
