An FA tribunal was held yesterday at Wembley Stadium to bring a conclusion to the long-running saga. Tranmere Rovers signed the 23-year-old former Stoke City, Celtic and Ipswich Town youngster last summer and he is currently out on loan at fellow Vanarama National League side Dover Athletic, with a proposed permanent switch to Ebbsfleet United falling through in January.

Alabi’s move to Chester in 2016 ushered in the most successful period of his young career, with 18 goals in total last season as the Blues staved off relegation and finished 19th.
