Chester FC have provided their latest update on the state of their stadium following water damage sustained after inclement weather a few weeks ago.

The Vanarama National League North club say that they remain hopeful of hosting this coming Saturday’s match with Bradford (Park Avenue).

The Blues say the fixture is subject to National League ratification, but posted on Twitter:

‘Rest assured, contingency plans are in place and we WILL have a game this weekend!’

Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s team have endured a rocky recent time of it, with the postponements disrupting their early season as the former Salford City bosses look to lead a turnaround at the recently-relegated club.
