Vanarama National League club Chester have completed the signing of Tamworth’s top scorer Elliott Durrell
Durrell, 26, had a very successful season with the Lambs after making his switch from Wrexham last summer.
The attack-minded midfielder came to the attention of many clubs in the non-league scene with an impressive spell with Hednesford Town.
In a five year spell Durrell plundered his way to an impressive 109 goals in 240 appearances.
After signing for Chester Durrell spoke to the club’s website and said: “I had a lot of options from the league below, but I want to play at the highest possible level. You’ve seen that at every level of football, a team can do well if they’re a close tight knit group.”
Durrell is Blues manager Jon McCarthy’s second summer signing after Blaine Hudson’s arrival at the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium last week
