Vanarama National League North club Chester FC have signed big forward George Waring following his departure from League Two side Tranmere Rovers by mutual consent.
The 6`5” Waring, who has recently had a second spell on loan at Kidderminster Harriers, made his last appearance for Rovers back in September 2017 and he only played three times in his 18 months or so at Prenton Park.
He actually began his career with the `old` Chester City club as a youngster before going on to join Everton and then Stoke City.
Whilst on the Potters` books, he had loan spells with Barnsley, where he made 19 appearances and scored 6 goals, Oxford United, for whom he made 14 appearances with one goal, Shrewsbury Town (13 games) and Carlisle United (9 matches).
After being released by Stoke he signed for Tranmere in the summer of 2017.
