Chester have announced that Mark Maguire has been appointed as the Club’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Mark will start his new role at the club tomorrow, Friday July 1st.
This is a senior role within the club with Mark overseeing all day-to-day activities at the club with aims to develop and implement a strategic business plan to grow the club, and to take the club forward in new, sustainable ways.
Mark, who is from Poynton, has previous experience in football as Managing Director at Stockport County and Chief Executive at Hull City. Prior to his role with the Blues, he has been self employed offering consultancy services to the sports and hospitality industry for past four years.
Speaking on his appointment, he said: “I am thrilled to be joining Chester FC at a very exciting time for the club.
“With a new Manager, Chairman and strong board striving to create a platform for the club’s future progression I believe wholeheartedly that there is an opportunity here to demonstrate how a commercially orientated fan owned club can thrive and succeed.
“I have been blown away by the enthusiasm and commitment of the people I have met and had no hesitation in turning down other opportunities to accept the role. I will give everything I have to create and deliver a strategic vision for the club, the fans and the community.”
