Chester FC have announced the permanent signing of striker Akwasi Asante from Tamworth.
Asante has joined the club for an undisclosed club-record fee. The club say they ‘would like to acknowledge and formally place on record our thanks to Stuart Murphy, who assisted the move through his financial contribution.’
The striker completed a medical at the Swansway Chester Stadium on the 1st January, putting pen to paper on an 18-month contract.
The 26-year-old forward has certainly started in style during his initial loan spell from the Lambs. He has five goals to his name in three games, including a ‘perfect’ hat-trick over Darlington.
His 17 goals in 39 appearances spearheaded Solihull Moors to the National League North title under former Blues boss Marcus Bignot back in 2015/2016.
