A Chesterfield supporter who threw a bottle onto the pitch towards the end of the recent home game against Bromley has received a Club Banning Order.

After being identified by several supporters following an appeal for witnesses, the person in question was found to be guilty of the following offence under the Football (Offences) Act 1991 (as amended):

11.1 The throwing of any object within the Ground without lawful authority or excuse.

A Club Banning Order has been issued with immediate effect, excluding the offender from the club’s premises and barring them from attending all home games for the remainder of the 2018/19 season.

Director & company secretary Ashley Carson said: “I would like to thank our matchday safety officer, Tony Booker, for his efforts in identifying the person responsible and taking the appropriate action. I would also like to thank those supporters who came forward with information following a request for witnesses.

“Ensuring the safety and well-being of all those who attend the Proact Stadium is of paramount importance and any actions that contravene the stadium safety regulations will not be tolerated.”
