Chesterfield’s selection options are set to be boosted by Nathan Tyson’s return to fitness.

The veteran forward hasn’t featured for the Spireites since the end of October due to a hamstring issue.

Manager James Rowe has said the 38-year-old is now almost ready to return.

Rowe told the club’s website: “Nathan is really close.

“He has come back into the fold and it is positive for us because of his experience and his knowhow.

“We know what he can do on the pitch. It will give us an extra threat up at the top of the pitch.”
