Chesterfield manager Martin Allen has expressed his delight at the club’s current season ticket sales ahead of their upcoming campaign in the Vanarama National League.
In what will be the Spireites’ first season out of the EFL in 97 years, former Brentford and Barnet boss Allen has set about making significant changes, with several new signings. In his latest statement released on the club’s website, he said the following about the current progress on season ticket sales:
What wonderful news when I turned my phone on at Heathrow Airport this morning, to find out that we have sold over 1,300 season tickets and most importantly, 10% are people that are new season ticket holders.
That made me smile and what a great return and great commitment from the 1,318 people.
It is a big, big, positive step.
