Chesterfield have officially confirmed the departure of Brad Nicholson.
The young defender joined the Spireites in May after training with the club during the latter part of last season. He had most recently been playing for Handsworth Parramore before that and signed a six-month deal with Chesterfield.
Nicholson’s arrival preceded that of manager Martin Allen, who confirmed last week that the club were looking into allegations surrounding the player.
It was described as a ‘process,’ which Allen said he could not say much more on at the time, but the club have now confirmed Nicholson has left by ‘mutual consent.’
