Richard Brindley believes Notts County bring the best out of Chesterfield and claims they reserve their best performances for the Magpies.

The two clubs go head to head in front of the BT Sport cameras on Saturday night with Neal Ardley’s side hoping to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Dagenham last weekend.

Notts have beaten and lost to Chesterfield already this season, having been defeated in the league 1-0, but exacting revenge by the same scoreline in the FA Trophy.

With a big crowd expected at Meadow Lane, full-back Brindley is expecting the relegation-threatened Spireites to produce another hard-working performance.

“These games are always important,” he said.

“That’s our main focus and Chesterfield they always put up a big fight.

“Whenever they play us they probably play their best game of the season.”
