Chesterfield have rejected Notts County’s bid for striker Kristian Dennis, according to Spireites boss Martin Allen.
Dennis netted 21 times last season, despite the club suffering a second successive relegation, this time to the National League, and his availability has alerted Kevin Nolan. Nolan’s Magpies are not the only club to have registered their interest in the 28-year-old frontman, though, with Port Vale also seeing their bid turned down.
“Notts County have bid for Kristian Dennis,” Allen told the Derbyshire Times. “Now we have to wait and see if they improve their offer, that offer has been rejected.
“It’s hard for me to say if they will increase their bid.”
