Chesterfield have confirmed the signing of experienced winger Kyel Reid.
The 30-year-old, who started his career at West Ham United, has joined Martin Allen’s Spireites on a deal until the end of the season. Reid was released by Coventry City at the end of last season.
The South Londoner perhaps most notably featured for Bradford City between 2011 and 2014, which included the Bantams’ run to the 2013 League Cup final. Reid has also represented Sheffield United, Charlton Athletic, Preston North End, and several clubs on loan.
In his customary style on Chesterfield’s website, Martin Allen said of Reid:
This morning, we signed Kyel Reid on a contract until the end of the season.
He is another good player and he’ll go straight into our squad for Saturday’s game.
