Martin Smith is the newest face to arrive at Chorley after the midfielder joined on loan from League Two outfit Salford City until January.
The 24-year-old penned a two-year deal with the Ammies in the summer, has played five games so far in 2019/20, and will add competition for places as manager Jamie Vermiglio looks to kick-start the campaign heading into November.
Vermiglio said: “Martin is a player who’s been on my radar for a while and we’re delighted he’s agreed to sign. He’s a hard-working player, technically strong and will add competition for places in the team.”
The North East native started his career at Sunderland, before taking in Gateshead, Carlisle United, Coleraine, Swindon Town and Salford City over the last five years.
