Last season’s top scorer for the club, Marcus Carver has signed up for next season at Chorley.
The 24-year-old hit 14 goals in all competitions, including five in eight games down the stretch to help cement The Magpies’ place in the top seven of the National League North.
“I’m thrilled to be coming back for the new season,” an excited Carver told chorleyfc.com. “I love playing for Chorley, it’s a great club to be involved with. Everyone’s made me so welcome since I first joined in 2015 and I can’t wait to start another season.”
The former Accrington striker has spent the best part of three campaigns at the Chorley Group Victory Park Stadium following loan spells across the North West, making 118 appearances in a black and white shirt.
“I love Marcus to bits,” manager Matt Jansen said. “We have a bit of a love hate relationship at times, but he’s been there when we’ve needed him over the last few seasons and it was an easy decision to bring him back.”
