Some notable former Alfreton Town names have backed the club’s drive to raise funds for vital pitch renovation.
The National League North side have, like so many clubs, felt the financial impact of the past 17 months.
The renovation will allow essential work to take place, which will help the Reds avoid match postponements, and subsequent further financial hits, over the coming months, as weather conditions worsen.
The club have set a target of £15,000 and will be giving away a match ticket to a key worker for every £100 of donations.
Among the former Reds backing the campaign are ex-Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, current Cardiff City defender Aden Flint and one-time Chesterfield and Bradford City manager Nicky Law.
