Cirencester Town boss Charlie Griffin is resigning himself to the loss of another defender with the news that Southern League Premier side Farnborough have made an approach for left back Matt Jones.
Griffin saw experienced centre back Matt Coupe leave for near-neighbours Swindon Supermarine last week and Jordan Stoddart played his final game for the club on Saturday, before switching to his home town side Worcester City.
“It’s been a long week, my toughest since starting management,” said Griffin. “But I guess I must be doing something right, as everyone seems to want my players.
“With no midweek game at least we have some time to get in a replacement or two before Saturday’s home game with Wimborne Town.”
