Chelmsford City have signed former Nottingham Forest midfielder Josh Rees.
The 22-year-old began his football education with Arsenal, where he worked his way up through the ranks, playing for the youth team whilst still an under-16 and signing professional forms before his 18th birthday. He also spent some time on loan with Brentford before leaving the club at the end of the 2011/12 season.
He moved on to Nottingham Forest, where he continued to develop well and made his senior debut for the club at the end of the 2013/14 season against Brighton & Hove Albion.
A midfield man who likes to get forward at every opportunity, he was on loan with National League North side Nuneaton Town towards the end of the 2014/15 season and then with Torquay United from January 2016 until the end of the season, making eighteen appearances and scoring once.
After being released by Forest at the end of last season, Rees signed for National League side Braintree Town and featured in the squad in the last three matches without getting off the bench.
