Chris Whelpdale to join Eastbourne Borough.
The 33-year-old former Peterborough United and Gillingham midfielder signed for City two years ago, scoring 21 times in 77 games.
On his departure to fellow National League South side Eastbourne Borough, Chelmsford boss Robbie Simpson said:
“Obviously following my interview on Saturday, Whelps has made his mind up to sign for a club closer to his home in Brighton. We thank Whelps for his service for the Clarets and wish him all of the best at Eastbourne.”
