Ben Davies has linked up with his former club Grimsby Town on a temporary coaching basis.

The 38-year-old currently plays for Cleethorpes Town, but he is to help assist interim Grimsby manager Anthony Limbrick and Dave Moore following the departure of the League Two side’s Michael Jolley.

Speaking about Cleethorpes giving their blessing, ex-Derby County player Davies told Grimsby’s iFollow Mariners:

“They’re a class act down there. I got the call and it was a case of clearing it with the Cleethorpes Town manager Dave Smith and the owners.

“And they were brilliant with me and they wished me all the luck and said ‘go and get involved and help out.’”
