Popular defender James Clifton has accepted the club’s offer of a second season at Nuneaton Town by penning a one year deal.
Clifton, who missed the last four games of last season through injury, said; “I was really disappointed not to be available for the run in, especially as we were still in with a shout of the play-offs. I wanted to play my part and get the club promoted. Hopefully we can do that this time around.
“The club offered me the option to stay and I had no hesitation in accepting.
“I love being here. The set up is excellent and the fans have made me and my family feel very welcome since I signed last year.
“The style of football we play suits my game and the coaching is second to none. As a defender you want to learn from the best and in Steve Chettle we have someone here who has played in defence in the Premier League.
“I make no secret of the fact that I want to play at the highest level possible and I want that to be with Nuneaton.”
