Tommy Brookbanks has taken the decision to retire from football management and as a result he will be leaving Coalville Town at the end of the current 2017/18 season.

He joined the club in 2014 and successfully guided the club to promotion in 2016. He has also taken the club to three County Cup finals, in 2015, 2017 and 2018 as well as the final of the Integro League Cup Final in 2018. Assistant Manager Mark Harvey will also be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Chairman Glyn Rennocks said: “I along with everyone else at Coalville Town would like to thank Tommy and Mark for everything they have done during their time with the club and we all wish them and their families well for the future.”

Brookbanks said: “It wasn’t a decision I took lightly and I apologise if it has upset or shocked anyone along the way. After 23 years of being player manager and manager I now feel it’s time to hang up my coat.”
