Colwyn Bay have asked the FAW to try and push through international clearance in time for new signing Jamie Rainford to make his debut in Saturday’s home game against Kendal Town.

Fellow new striker Danny Bartle is already set to make his home league debut, but there is a fitness  doubt over Julian Williams who has been unable to train after suffering a knee injury on his debut against Ramsbottom.

Manager Phill Hadland reports everybody else should be fit, with defender Sam Barnes close to a return after being out for four weeks with an ankle ligament injury.

The Seagulls will be bidding to complete a second league double of the season after winning 2-1 at Kendal in October, when the Cumbria side were in the top five.

Both teams have been on a downward slide since then, both dropping into the bottom half of the table, but Kendal showed good form last weekend when a hat trick from their new loan signing from Morecambe, Steven Yawson, helped them to an emphatic 5-0 victory over Droylsden.
