Colwyn Bay could have four players making their home debuts in Saturday’s big game against in-form Grantham Town.
They include former Liverpool Europa League squad player Adam Morgan, who hit a stunning first goal for the Seagulls in Tuesday’s win at Mickleover.
After four successive away games, home fans will also get a first view of new keeper Craig Ellison, who has excelled in the last two games, and Ben Cartwright, who did well in a new central defensive partnership with Antonie Boland on Tuesday.
Nathan Quirk, an ex-Liverpool youth player, could make his first appearance for the club with manager Kevin Lynch’s squad again hit by injuries.
Cory Williams (hamstring) is definitely out, while Carl Rodgers (calf), Jordan Harper (knee) and Luke Denson (knee) are all struggling,
“That’s the price you can pay when you are playing two games a week, but that is why we have extended the squad recently and I have confidence in the lads who will come in,” said the manager.
“We know it will be a tough game against Grantham, but we dug deep when we had to on Tuesday to get the three points and that’s what we have to do again.”
Grantham are currently on a good run and are unbeaten in their last six games (three wins and three draws) to pull themselves eleven points clear of the relegation dogfight at the bottom.
