Gateshead forward Jordan Cook was delighted to get off the mark for the Tynesiders last night.

It was a 1-0 win over Curzon Ashton for the National League North side on Tuesday, and Cook, who joined the club last month, was the match-winner off the bench.

He told the club’s website: “It’s a great feeling. When the ball came to me, it was just about keeping my composure and making sure the shot was on target.

“It’s why Mike and Busted have brought me here, to create and finish chances, so long may it continue.”
