Stevie Noble has admitted Corby Town will be in the same boat as every other non-League club over the next few months with “finances really tight” at Steel Park.

The Steelmen, who were all-but assured of a play-off place in the BetVictor Southern League Division One Central, saw their season ended last week with the Football Association announcing the cancellation of the campaign for all leagues from Step 3 and below with records being expunged due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The main priority for non-League clubs, aside from the obvious of keeping everyone healthy, is to minimise the financial impact and to ensure they are ready for whenever the new season gets under way.

And Corby chairman Noble believes that if the club are able to open their gates and provide football for the community at the start of the next season then he will regard that as a success.
