Bostik League North club Mildenhall Town have moved quickly to replace Dean Greygoose as manager by appointing former player Ricky Cornish.

‏Cornish played professionally at Cambridge United, Bristol City and Aldershot Town along with playing abroad in Norway.

Despite being 47, Cornish has most recently been playing in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North with Diss Town.

The veteran defender spent a number of seasons with the Tangerines during the 2000s, during which time he played a role in two Norfolk Senior Cup-winning sides.

He moved to Mildenhall and went on to play for a number of other clubs, the most recent of which was Lakenheath in the Kershaw Premier Division, for whom he made 167 appearances during several spells, last season as well as turning out for AFC Sudbury`s reserve side.
