FC United have confirmed the departure of Jamal Crawford.

The 21-year-old midfielder joined the club and made his debut last January. He played 32 times for the Reds, last appearing when he came on as a substitute in the 3-2 win at Bradford (Park Avenue) in January.

Crawford tweeted:

Would like to say a big thank you to all the players, staff and especially the fans for your endless support over the past two seasons. All the best for the future.👍 @FCUnitedMcr

Neil Reynolds’ team suffered a 4-0 home loss to bottom side Nuneaton Borough at the weekend as their fight for survival in the National League North took another hit. FC United are six adrift of safety, with Guiseley having a game in hand.
