Ben Sadler says the second half of the season is a crucial time for his Carterton side in their quest for promotion from Uhlsport Hellenic League One West.

The One West manager comments “We are at the half way stage of our league campaign, overall I am pleased to be in second place and am looking for us to kick on”

The top of One West is very competitive, currently four clubs have the best possibilities to win it.

Fairford Town 35 points from 17 Games, Carterton 29/13, Cheltenham Saracens 26/12, Hook Norton 26/12. Carterton have to play all sides involved in the runs in, though only have the home advantage against Hook Norton.

Sadler continues “If we can continue our superb home form (6 wins out of 7 home games, with a draw against Fairford in September) then we won’t be far off. With six home games the points we pick up here will go a long way to deciding where we finish. We will take nothing for granted, every game, home or away, will be treated as being the biggest game of the season”
