Matt Curley became Tamworth`s third new recruit ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.

Curley, who can operate in a number of positions on the right-hand side, spent time under former Lambs` manager Dale Belford at Rugby Town, and has also represented the likes of Chasetown and Sutton Coldfield Town.

Commenting on the signing, manager Andy Morrell said: “He’s a young lad and I am looking forward to working with him. He’s someone who can play in a few different positions. He’s a right-back but can also play as a winger or wing-back and it’s good to have that flexibility.”

Morrell continued: “We have been monitoring him for a while now. He has got a bit of pace about him and he is very good technically. He’s also fit and athletic and we want to give him the chance to test himself at the higher level. He’s a local lad and is desperate to do well so we feel he’s a good addition to the squad”.
