The former Ebbsfleet United player and manager, who led Fleet into the National League, has recently been in charge at League Two Macclesfield Town, but his resignation was confirmed by the club yesterday.
The Irishman succeeds Peter Taylor as Daggers boss, with Executive Chairman Peter B Freund commenting in an official statement:
“Daryl was our first choice from the moment we started this process and we are thrilled that he has agreed to lead the Daggers moving forward and into the future.”
