Dagenham & Redbridge have announced the signing of striker Conor Wilkinson on a loan deal until January from League One side Gillingham.
The Republic of Ireland Under-23 international started his career as a youngster at Millwall, where he spent three years before signing for fellow Championship side Bolton Wanderers. While at The Whites, the 6ft 3 forward started four times in the Championship.
The 23-year-old has also spent time on a number of short loan deals during his career, including in League One with Oldham Athletic, Barnsley – where he won promotion through the play-offs to the Championship – and Chesterfield.
In the summer of 2017 he moved to the Gills on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Daggers manager Peter Taylor on signing Wilkinson said: “I’m really delighted to have been able to sign Conor. He is a player I got to know at Gillingham and could be anything he wants to be.
“Hopefully, he will knuckle down and play some games and get some goals for us. I am grateful to Steve Lovell and Paul Scally at Gillingham for allowing Conor to join us.”
