Dagenham & Redbridge have signed defender Ben Goodliffe on a youth loan from newly-promoted Wolves.
The young centre-half joins the club until January 2019.
Goodliffe started his career with the Tottenham Hotspur academy but was released at an early age. He then joined the Boreham Wood PASE academy and featured a number of times in the National League first team.
After impressing at The Wood, Wolverhampton Wanderers snapped him up last summer, where he would go straight into the U23 side and feature in the squad’s Premier League 2 campaign, in which he made 12 appearances.
Manager Peter Taylor commented on the signing of the defender: “I’ve been watching Ben’s progress for about a year and a half now and have always been interested in his career progression. Since joining the Daggers I have been looking to bring in centre-backs, so this was the perfect opportunity.”
