Dagenham and Redbridge midfielder Scott Heard has left the club after cancelling his contract by mutual consent with the club.

The midfielder joined the club in October 2016 from Folkestone Invicta, where he was a key member of the side playing all seventeen games of their season before joining up with The Daggers.

Heard, originally signing for Folkestone from Ryman League Division One South side Whitstable Town where he started his career. Heard’s impressive form at Whitstable Town earned him trials with the likes of Gillingham, Chesterfield and Maidstone, with Ebbsfleet also wanting to sign him when Steve Brown was in charge.

Heard made nine appearances for the Daggers in total, getting himself one goal in our last official home game of the season against Woking FC on Saturday 29th April.

The midfielder had previously spent time on loan at National League South side East Thurrock United between February and April.
